A $10 tryout fee and advance registration are required.
Registration fees are non-refundable.

Age Divisions

9U – (9 or younger as of 8/1/26)
10U – (10 or younger as of 8/1/26)
11U – (11 or younger as of 8/1/26)
12U – (12 or younger as of 8/1/26)
14U – (14 or younger as of 8/1/26)

Teams will be formed based on player interest, tryout results, and coaching availability.

Mandatory Parent Meeting

Friday, November 13 at 6:00 PM
Windom South Recreation Center

Players who accept a roster position and a parent or guardian are required to attend. Families will meet their team, try on uniforms, review program expectations, and receive information about the November popcorn fundraiser.

Season Overview

The Minneapolis Kings travel season runs from March through July.

Players typically practice twice a week for two hours. Indoor practices are held in March and April, followed by outdoor practices from May through July. Practice days, times, and locations will be shared with families once finalized.

Teams typically participate in 8 to 10 tournaments throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois.


Season Fees

The season fee is $680 per player and includes:

  • Two uniforms and one player shirt

  • Entry into eight tournaments

A $160 uniform payment is due at the mandatory parent meeting. 

The remaining $520 may be paid:

  • In full by February 1

  • In three installments of $173 due February 1, March 1 and April 1

All season fees must be paid in full by April 1. Players with an outstanding balance will not be added to tournament rosters or eligible to participate until their balance is paid in full.

Additional tournaments may be added during the season. Any additional tournament fees will be discussed with families and collected separately at $65 per player, per tournament.

All payments are nonrefundable. Refunds and prorated adjustments will not be provided for missed tournaments, scheduling conflicts, removal from the team, or voluntarily leaving the program.

Additional Information

  • Scholarships are available for qualifying families

  • Players provide their own cleats, flags, and mouthguard

  • Families are responsible for hotel, transportation, food, and other travel expenses
